The name is linked to the ancient history of this farm, “Plebis S.Johannes de Ballatorio”, as it was called by the Benedictine monks who founded it in the 9th century. Since 1956 it has been owned by the Petri family who wanted to enhance the vocation for hospitality, renovating and adapting the old farmhouses to create a beautiful agritourism, together with agricultural cultivation, developing and enhancing the products of the area.Certified organic since 2010 , today the “Pieve” is a model of hospitality, sustainability and energy saving.
